Honored to be part of Yuseff on their new paper uncovering B cell mechanotransduction at the immune synapse!
The recent work reveals how B cells sensing antigens on stiff substrates trigger a sophisticated mechanotransduction pathway. This process shuttles the microtubule acetylase ATAT1 from the nucleus to the cytoplasm, boosting alpha-tubulin acetylation. This specific acetylation frees GEF-H1 at the immune synapse, driving the formation of actin foci that generate the mechanical forces required for antigen extraction
Congratulations to all the brilliant authors involved in this work! 🥂✨
